Questions

The things that matter most.

The answers below reflect the PVIP programme's current rules, set out calmly and candidly. If your question isn't here, you are welcome to raise it with us in private.

What is the true total cost?

There are three separate amounts. First, the RM200,000 government participation fee (RM100,000 per dependent). Second, a refundable RM1,000,000 bank fixed deposit. Third, our fixed RM65,000 service fee (RM26,000 per family member). The three are independent of one another, with no hidden charges.

Is my RM1,000,000 deposit safe and refundable?

The fixed deposit is held in your own name at a licensed Malaysian bank and belongs to you. It is refundable in accordance with programme rules, subject to the relevant conditions. It is a requirement of the programme — not a fee paid to anyone.

What if my application is not approved?

We pre-screen every document in full before submission, proceeding only once certainty is maximised. Before any government fee is committed, we set out each requirement transparently, so you avoid unnecessary risk or loss.

How long does the whole process take?

Conditional approval is typically reached in approximately 60 working days. The fixed deposit and medical steps follow thereafter. Actual timing varies with individual circumstances and official processing.

Do I have to live in Malaysia?

There is no minimum stay requirement. You are free to decide how much time you spend in the country, without needing to settle there to maintain the pass — one of the reasons PVIP appeals to international families.

Can I work or run a business in Malaysia?

PVIP holders may undertake business activity and investment in Malaysia. Specific employment and operating arrangements are subject to the applicable rules, which we explain in detail during your consultation.

Can my children study there?

Yes. Eligible accompanying children may be included as dependents and can attend international or local institutions in Malaysia.

Who can I bring with me?

Typically a spouse and unmarried children within the eligible age range may be included as dependents. Each dependent carries its own government fee and service fee. We assess your specific family structure individually.

Is my foreign income taxed?

Malaysian tax treatment depends on your residence status and the source of your income. Foreign income is generally treated favourably, but every family's situation differs. We help you understand the position and, where needed, introduce a specialist tax adviser.

Will the rules change?

Immigration policy can change as the authorities revise it. We monitor the latest rules continuously and work to the Malaysian Immigration Department's current guidance, so your application always reflects present requirements.

What exactly is included in Verity's RM65,000 fee?

It covers the full journey: engagement, document pre-screening and preparation, coordination of certified translation and notarisation, submission to Immigration, accompaniment for the deposit and medical after approval, and through to visa collection. The fee is fixed, set out in advance, with no late additions.

Will my affairs be kept confidential?

Absolutely. Discretion is central to our service. Your personal information and family affairs are handled in complete confidence and used only as far as advancing your application requires.
